Comic Con Wrap-Up Super-Spectacular 2013

This past weekend, our fellow nerds gathered together in elaborate costumes and stylish geek-chic shirts to pay tribute to all the wonderful people and things that they love. The rest of us, on the other hand, sat comfortably in front of our computers and patiently waited until the internet oh-so graciously provided us with hours upon hours of similar footage and interviews from the event – minus the lines and immense crowds. Here are some of the highlights.

Trailer with the most zombies: The Walking Dead

This four-minute plus teaser teases a lot, considering the fact the cast and crew haven’t even finished filming the season yet! And surprise, it’s awesome. We return some time after Rick & Co. bring the remaining members of Woodberry to the prison. They’ve started a new kind of life, a flourishing democracy that has perfected the art of survival. Unfortunately, someone is set to destroy their home. Walkers are being shepherded inside and fed, summoned to attack the living. There’s only one choice, either die or run. Season 4 of the hit drama series premieres October 13th and, no doubt, the wait is promised to be long.

Trailer with the most laughs: The Big Bang Theory

The writers panel didn’t reveal much about the seventh season of our favorite geeky comedy, but they did put together this hilarious highlight reel.

‘Sherlock’ Spoilers:

In this exclusive video, The Cumberbatch explains how Sherlock managed to escape that gruesome fall from last season’s cliffhanger. Also, Martin Freeman as a hobbit.

Henry Cavill News:

The new caped crusader will make his next big screen appearance fighting Batman, whose identity is still unknown. FanGirls immediately start petition to bring back Christian Bale. Zack Snyder is set to direct. Source

Biggest ‘TVD’ Revelation:

We’ll see Damon and Elena . . . happy. No, seriously.

Julie Plec: One of the things that people always say is that there’s no drama in happiness. One of the things we decided to do this year was to try to keep them happy, for a while, amidst of all the bad things around them that are trying to tear them apart. [Laughs] We’ll see how well we do with that. Source

Best ‘Doctor Who’ Panel: Matt Smith, Jenna-Louise Coleman, and Steven Moffat at Nerd HQ

The comedic chemistry between Smith & Moffat is off the charts in this one of a kind interview. Moffat promises lots of feels for *sniff* the eleventh doctor’s *sniff* final episode. Plus, the gang reminisce about their favorite monsters and their time with Doctor Who.

What did you think of all these spoilers, teasers, and celebrity panels? What films are you looking forward to this year or the next? Which TV show’s return are you most excited for? Did you attend Comic Con 2013? Wish you had? Tell me in the comments!
