Trailer Talk: The Fault In Our Stars

I can’t even begin to describe what I feel in this moment. My thoughts are like stars I cannot fathom into constellations. My thoughts are like a half-million abnormally shaped shards of fragmented emotions swirling around and around inside my head and in my gut.

The first trailer for The Fault In Our Stars is all I could want and all I could have hoped for. And yet, it makes you forget. It makes you forget about infinities and scenes which will tear you in two; but that’s okay. It’s okay, because it’s a lonely, vaguely pedophilic swing set and the literal heart of Jesus. It’s Gus: adorable and smug. It’s the attention to detail. It’s Issac. It’s Hazel Grace Lancaster. It’s everything and it’s real. And the more I watch it, the more it hurts. Painful in the same way the book was; thriving on that chaotic mix of endearing happiness and overwhelming sadness. It hurts like it’s supposed to. It hurts in that oh-so-good way that only lovers of this book could know and that’s perfect. It’s perfect.

This film is going to be as sad as the book was. OOhhh, I’ll have to remember to take tissues.

PS. I think I forgot to read that book for book club. Eep. I’m sorryyyy

    1. That’s a given. Hopefully, the film will be as good (or close to it) as the book too. Fingers crossed!

Oh, don’t worry about it. The book has been sitting on my desk for forever. I haven’t read a single page of it. Between my Haim and ‘Scandal’ obsessions, I’m exhausted! Lol. 😀

Do you know when it comes out?

And I keep hearing about this Scandal, tell me more! Hopefully a new addiction in the future

        1. It comes out in Australia June 5th!

OMG! It’s SO good. The show has an abundance of cliffhangers and twists, so you’re always kept on the edge of your seat. And they’re not your average cliffhangers, either. You might have to get out that throwing chair every once in a while. Lol. It’s a political thriller, but there’s enough relationship drama around to keep you interested. It’s different, fast paced, and probably has the market cornered on shock value. It’s not like most shows today, which is why I think you’ll love it.

Hmmm. So out of interest, is it better than House of Cards? Everyone keeps banging on about how good HoC’s is, but it seems kind of boring. I do enjoy a reason to bring out the throwing chair…plus some excellent relationship drama

  2. I haven’t had a chance to begin my House of Card’s binge-watch yet, so I’m not sure. Yeah, from the previews I’ve seen, it seems kind of slow-placed – more character driven. ‘Scandal’ is all about pushing the plot forward (which isn’t as bad as it suggests). It’s exciting. You never know what’s going to happen next.
