I reached up to touch a star while my feet were still on the ground.

It faltered and fell, a pinch of fire landed in my eyes.

From blue to red, the colors changed.

Something inside me died.

Hero to villain, cloaked and caped, I traveled through space and altered time.

Whispering songs, real and rare, I fought my enemies with tunes draped in fantasy and despair.

Blinded by stardust, I could not see.

True love was mine, but not meant to be.
