Hi, everybody! You know, I just couldn’t help myself. I just had post this. This week we got some more super-exciting Florence + The Machine news. The groups previously untitled second album has now been titled, Ceremonials, and a new release date has been determined. Mark your calendars. The new album will be available November 1st (Yay!). Florence also announced that ‘Ceremonials’ will be available to purchase in standard and deluxe versions (You can view the track-list below). Fans were also treated to a taste of the new album with a brand-spanking new track. ‘Shake It Out’ is an amazing power-anthem from the singer. Laced with thunderous drums and a magnificent chorus that will surely have you singing along in no time, the song is just another reason why it is impossible not to love Florence + The Machine. I seem to have become obsessed with this song. It kind of sounds like one of those high tempo songs that tend to be in indie movies. I don’t know; it’s kind of hard to explain. The point is I love this one, and now I’m getting excited for the new album. Ms. Welch continues to impress me every time I hear her.
I’m in the same boat. I can’t stop listening to this song. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to it so far. To me, it reminds me of some kind of 80’s style of song, with the massive chorus, etc. I don’t know why. Me too. Everytime I think I can’t love Florence & The Machine anymore, she does something like this and I fall all over again. Now, I just wish I knew exactly when the new album will come out, so I can obsess and count down the days until it’s here 🙂
If this album is not awesome i will fall off my seat in shock. and then weep uncontrollably. Love it!
Not awesome? I don’t even think that’s in the realm of possibilities. Though, I might be a bit biased. Lol.
hahahaha. I’m in the same boat as you. And both songs you’ve showed have been awesome. So really…if the album sucks the world has clearly ended.
It took me a while to get into Florence’s (and Adele’s) albums, after which I obsessed over them continuously. I’m looking forward to obsessing over this one.
I was the exact opposite. The first song I heard was ‘Heavy In Your Arms’. I didn’t even get through the entire song before I was utterly and completely obsessed. Adele I had more trouble with. I liked a couple of songs on her first album, but it wasn’t until I heard her second album that I started to really like her music.
I think we’re all looking forward to obsessing over this album too 🙂
