I think I have a problem. In fact, I know I have a problem. I just can’t stop quoting The Big Bang Theory. Morning. Noon. Night. It doesn’t matter what time or where I am, I’m always quote-ready.

Penny: What’s he doing now?
Leonard: Well, he’s either isolating the terms of his formula and examining them individually, or looking for the alligator that swallowed his hand after Peter Pan cut it off.
Sheldon: Captain Hook’s hand was eaten by a crocodile, not an alligator. If you’re going to mock me, at least get your facts straight.
Leonard: Aye, aye, Captain.

It doesn’t help that this fantastically hilarious sitcom is always playing on some channel at some convenient hour of the day. It also doesn’t help that it’s one of my all-time favorite shows.

Sheldon: Cause of accident: Lack of adhesive ducks.

The frequency in which I’ve watched all six seasons is bordering on obsession. I quote it more than any other, and considering my weakness for quoting UP, that’s truly saying something.

Bernadette: IT WAS AN ARCHITECT!

If I tell a joke you can bet there will be a Bazinga attached to it. When asked to sing Soft Kitty, I’ll do it without delay. Even if you don’t ask, I’ll do it anyway. I simply can not help myself.

Like you didn’t know I was a nerd?

Sheldon: No. I came here to defeat Wil Wheaton, the man who destroyed my dreams. But I can’t defeat Wil Wheaton, the man who loved his meemaw.

Still, it’s not exactly a secret. My over-active, rambunctious fondness for television and movie quotes is well-known. It’s an addiction which I have no control over. And, frankly, I don’t want to stop. I can’t stop.

Penny: You know, people think you’re this weird robot man who’s so annoying all the time, and you totally are, but then it’s like that movie Wall-E at the end. You’re so full of love, and you can save a plant, and get fat people out of the floaty chairs.

There are endless scintillating, humorous lines to amuse myself with, endless conversations where this quote or that quote may be appropriate, that may be required to appear.

Sheldon: Do you realize what this means? All I need is a healthy ovum and I can grow my own Leonard Nimoy!

There are few shows where you can watch an episode over and over again and laugh without fail at a specific scene or a particular piece of dialogue. The Big Bang Theory‘s greatness comes from its repeatability. There’s no other show like it. It’s impossible not to recite your absolutely favorite quote. I’m telling you it’s true. I mean . . .

Sheldon: Don’t you think if I were wrong, I’d know it?
